About Grace Hauling
Built on Experience. Guided by Faith. Serving Since 1998.
Our Story
After two decades working in the waste industry, Gary Schneider felt called to step out on his own. He and his wife Karen started Grace Hauling in 1998, originally operating as a lugger container company.
At first, the idea of moving into the residential market seemed overwhelming. Karen was hesitant — in fact, she even threw away the paperwork needed to get started! But Gary pressed forward, preparing a mailing to nearly 8,000 households. Karen, nervous and unsure, prayed for a sign from God.
Just 90 seconds later, the phone rang. The caller ID displayed a number, but no one was on the other end. For Karen, that silent call was the answer she had prayed for. It was a clear sign that this business wasn’t just their idea — it was God’s plan.
Why “Grace” Hauling?
As Karen says: “We could have called it Gary & Karen Hauling or G&K Hauling, but it’s called Grace Hauling because it is by God’s grace that we have this company. It was a gift from God, not something we deserved. It was by grace, period. It was nothing we did!”
That name reflects not only the foundation of our business, but also the way we strive to serve our customers: with gratitude, humility, and care.

Serving With Integrity. Loved by Our Community.
We have always had a good experience with Grace. They are always awesome. They take more than they should on occasion when we have it out and there have been a few times where my husband is running down yelling after they have nearly passed us and they always grab the can. We appreciate their hard work and appreciate it even more that they take the can when we almost miss it!

We have been with Grace since moving to our home a little shy of 3 years and they have showed up everytime at the exact same time. Most consistent and reliable trash company I have ever had.

Customer for 3+ Years
After the ice/snow storm we had recently and snow piled up in yards and along the street curbs, the trash driver still did an excellent job. He went out of his way to provide good service. I watched him get out of his truck and pull 2 cans closer to the street so that he could empty them. He didn’t have to do that, but he cared enough to provide good service. He represented Grace Hauling with grace. A good employee.
