Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my bill show charges for 3 carts when I only have 2?
One cart is included in your base price. Any additional cart is billed separately. The “quantity” line on your invoice reflects the number of months we are billing for that extra cart, not the total number of carts at your property.
Why didn’t anyone call me when my account was late or on stop?
We notify customers through email and mailed invoices. Because of staffing limits, we’re not able to personally call everyone who is late or on stop. Please watch for those notices to stay up to date.
Why am I getting a late bill when my bank shows my payment was made on time?
When you pay through your bank, the bank mails a paper check to us on your behalf. That check travels through the postal service before it arrives at our office. We post payments once they are received. If the mail is delayed, it may not appear on time in our system.
My bill says “due upon receipt” but I was charged a $5 late fee. Why?
Our policy states that balances over 30 days from the original invoice date are charged a $5 service fee. Accounts over 45 days may be placed on stop service. That’s why you may see the late fee even though the top of the invoice doesn’t show a specific due date.
What if my driver misses my cart or arrives later than usual?
Pickup times can vary from early morning to late afternoon. We recommend setting carts out the night before collection day. If your trash has not been picked up by 3 p.m., please call our office so we can check GPS tracking for your driver. Sometimes a recycling truck may pass first, or the driver may be collecting the opposite side of the street before looping back.
Why am I being charged a surcharge when I’m not late?
That is a fuel surcharge, not a late fee. It adjusts each quarter based on diesel prices. If fuel costs rise, the surcharge may increase. If prices drop, it will go down.
